Vinyl Riot started because one collector got sick of paying overseas shipping just to own the music he actually loved.
New Zealand's shelves don't carry Death Metal, Black Metal, or the kind of extreme underground metal that never makes it past a handful of specialist labels — so we go get it ourselves. Same goes for the boutique Horror releases from the likes of Arrow Video, Second Sight, and Severin, the physical media that never officially reaches this country at all.
No streaming. No downloads. Just the real thing — finally here, and actually affordable to get your hands on.
We hunt down releases too niche for anyone else to bother importing. We bring in the imports ourselves, batch orders through Import Club to keep freight costs down and get things here faster, and we buy, sell, and trade with the local scene directly.
